About Cook Ceal

Cook Ceal is an independent food blog publishing original recipes, step-by-step instructions, and food photography we produce ourselves. No copy-paste, no AI-spun filler — every recipe here was cooked in a real home kitchen and tweaked until we were happy with it.

Our mission

We started this blog because we were tired of recipe sites that bury a five-line formula under fifteen hundred words of unrelated story. Our goal is simple: clear, accurate, beautifully photographed recipes you can actually trust on a Tuesday night. We focus on accessible techniques and ingredients you can find at a regular grocery store.

How we test recipes

Each recipe is cooked at least three times in our test kitchen before it goes live. We test with both metric and US-cup measurements, taste at every stage, and ask a second person to follow the written method without our help to make sure the instructions are unambiguous. If a recipe doesn't pass the "would I make it again?" test, it doesn't get published.

Our photography

All photographs on this site are produced in-house. We style and shoot each dish in natural light, with no synthetic gloss, glue, or trickery — the food on the plate is the food you'll get from the recipe. We do not use third-party stock imagery for recipe photos.

Editorial standards

  • All recipes are original or clearly attributed when inspired by a specific source.
  • Sponsored content, if any, is always disclosed at the top of the article.
  • We update or remove recipes when feedback shows they need improvement.
  • Nutrition information is an estimate and should not replace professional dietary advice.
